Muppet Kerries
Whenever I look at this particular shape of our Kerries' mouth,

I always think that they look like muppets.

You know, the muppets like these.  Mop-like lovable creatures is what I mean.

In UK, however, the word "muppets" carries a whole different meaning.  According to Urban Dictionary, the definition is as follows:

An alternative term for idiot or moron. Usually used in the UK to describe someone who is incompetant or gormless. Taken from the name for the popular Jim Henson Puppets.
"You bloody muppet!"

I've often said to people that they look like muppets, but I suppose I shouldn't say that here.  Terriers certainly cannot be described as dull by any means.

Still snowy
Today's temperature is 32F.  Feels like 21F.
Today, they got to play with a Labradoodle, Theo.
Sakura barks excessively when she is excited.  So much so that she normally is not allowed to play with anybody.  She has absolutely no mean bone in her, mind you, but a misbehavior such as this is a major offense to many Brits and they immediately call their dogs off and walk away.  Not that I blame them, of course, but their tolerance level seems extremely, discouragingly, low compared to what it would be in US.  Russell says that is because their dogs behave better than American average, and I suppose he has a point.  Because Sakura didn't get the adequate exposure to dog socialization as a puppy (she only came to us at 1 1/2 year old), it is a challenge to teach her proper dog behaviors.

Snow Again
Last year in February, there was a big snow storm here in London.  We were told that was unusual, but then what is this?
It's only a few inches, and so unlike last year, the public transportation system is not disrupted and all the stores are open.  We are expecting more snow over the weekend, so let's see what happens then.
Meanwhile, the Kerries are having a great time in the park.
While the snow is fresh, we'd better get to the park everyday.

Monkey Kerry
Sakura was born in the year of dogs, but she is more than a dog when she sees a squirrel.
She is a monkey dog.
Sakura is always in charge of squirrel duty leading her deputy, Louie,
who sometimes turns on her to keep her in line
or at least tries to.  He is not successful very much.
Our New Year 2010 started just the way 2009 ended.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year 2010

This is the year of the tiger in Chinese zodiac.  It is a sign of courage and passion.  Does this mean we can expect a very exciting year?  Maybe.
