Bear Necessities of LifeMusings of Teddy Bear Necessity's Household
to Whom It May Concern Anish Kapoor
2010.11.18 (Thu)
Dog walking and art viewing go hand in hand in Kensington Gardens. The works of Anish Kapoor, the famous British sculptor originally from Mumbai, is being displayed throughout the park until March next year. (For details, check out the Serpentine Gallery site.) This is titled Non-Object (Spire), but we are affectionately calling it the Gigantic Hershey's Kiss. Anish Kapoor's works are very simple with reflective surfaces that capture the surrounding world within its own world. It's both mystifying and bemusing. On a rainy day in the fall and winter time in London, there is nothing better than catching up with your reading in the warmth and comfort of your bed with a Kerry or two by your side. Of course Sakura doesn't agree with such a sentiment. For her nothing is better than this: The thrill and excitement of running in the park, oh yeah! Sakura loves to play with a ball, although in her dictionary playing with a ball means taunting her brother Louie and also showing off her ball to as many dogs as possible. She squeaks and squeaks while running in bigger and bigger circles to attract attention from unacquainted dogs in the vicinity. Her cockiness sometimes causes small accidents, but the mistakes are never too big to Louie's great disappointment. Louie is a typical boy, just too honest to keep up with shrewd girls, and Sakura is certainly one of the shrewdest. Color of Autumn

The colors of autumn remind me that it was this time of the year when our heart dog Teddy crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.
This was taken 6 years ago in NYC's Central Park. Teddy's last fall in the Big Apple. Who would have known at the time that we would be in London with two Kerries in tow? The colors of autumn remind me that life is like a box of chocolate. You never know what you're gonna get. |
